SUNDAYS AT MATAMATA BAPTIST
Kia Ora!
Thanks for checking out Matamata Baptist Church. We hope that you find this community a place where you can feel at home and a part of our whānau.
Checking out a new church can sometimes be a bit weird, daunting, or nerve-wracking! We encourage you to check out our Sunday gatherings online first if you're unsure. Here is a bunch of info about what you can expect when you choose to join us in person on Sundays.
We're so looking forward to meeting you!
Service Information
Our gatherings start at 10:30 (Feel free to come at 10am for a coffee). We usually spend some time singing and sharing communion, and someone will share a message for 30 mins or so. We finish around 11:45, just in time to grab some lunch with some new friends. There is no dress code; Matamata Baptist is for everyone, regardless of their outfit. Please feel free to wear whatever is comfortable, from a t-shirt and jandles, to a shirt and tie!
Coffee
We have barista coffee, along with hot chocolates served from 10am in the foyer. Its Free!! There is also a self-service tea and coffee station if you prefer something more instant.
After the service, the self-service station remains open for you to grab a cuppa while you chat with others!
Kids Programme
You're more than welcome to have your kids in the service with you. There are also parents rooms in the rear of the auditorium if you need some privacy, or for breastfeeding.
Most of our kids head out to our awesome Kids Programme, with songs, crafts, and time for stories and fun. These age-appropriate programmes run for the entirety of the service. When you arrive you will see the Kids Check-In on the left of the foyer, and one of our friendly volunteers will assist you in the safe transition of your children into our amazing Kids Ministry.
Location and Parking
Our facilities are on the corner of Tower Road and Rawhiti Ave, but you can find us on Maps at 26 Tower Road. There is plenty of off-street parking in our carpark, but you're also more than welcome to park on the grass.
The entrance is through the green doors under the portico facing Tower Road.
